o damn .... but happy November!!

and so my start of the week didn't too nicely.

i just said good bye to someone forever for not turning up.
Irresponsiblity ranks low on my threshold meter. So my time was wasted waiting (read: swimming instructor) just like that for the 3rd time.
I'll gladly and readily accept if the reason is valid.
Would you budge if it is as lame as "I forgot" or worst, "I am at the airport now".
it happens to be my girl's swim-instructor; not mine :P

Then, i thought let's treat ourseleves to some indian food at the nearby coffeeshop.
It started well with smiles and greetings from the vendor UNTIL he looked at my kids and asked me "You from indonesia ah...?" (trust my instinct, he meant " are you a domestic maid?" ) and me, the dumb girl actually answered " urm no ... from singapore". omy, did i just answer him?! LOL !!
go ahead and have a laugh... what was i thinking and i must have looked the extreme today. i can't decide which is worse...

i think i am about to bite....

Move on...
Here's one GCD Studios' layout i created using one of my evergreen fave. :) i'm so boring i'm using butterflies again. but the butterflies from GCD Studio's Artsy Urban Collection are too pretty !

and another, a canvas chunk - used Tattered Angel's glimmer mist :) i'm in love with my glimmer misted seam binding...

and finally, so glad there's a new instructor over at Made With Love!!
Pooi 's new classes debut this month and do check it out HERE :) !

okay, i shall go chill.... you take care and will visit you soon :)

Details Are OUT ....

I have been fore-warned.
House hunting is going to be an uphill task.
And we are in it ! It INDEED is not an easy feat.
The most appropriate analogy would be the ding-dong-bell ....
Ah well, when things aren't always in your control, so i guess in the meantime, i need divine intervention to calm my anxious heart. I know He's watching, knowing ... and surrender we will ....

So, my saving grace ....

Huge thanks to Papier Love and heartfelt THANKS to this wonderful talented lady who came up with this amazing poster.
OMG!
Floored.

My RUFFLE Addiction - Double Ruffle Tutorial

is still going strong :)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
here's the tutorial i did for Scarlet Lime a few weeks back.
A Ribbon Garland.
(i am too lazy to post my tuts most of the time, but here you go... just because this could be my current fave - a slight twist to my usual ruffling).

Supplies
Jenni Bowlin crepe pink paper pack (Scarlet Lime Frugal kit)
Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage Pleats (Scarlet Lime Main/Frugal kit)
Lily Bee Audrey Tulle Flowers (Scarlet Lime Frugal kit)
American Craft Lively Dear Lizzy Ribbon (Scarlet Lime Frugal kit)
24 inch piece of wide ribbon (about 1" wide)

Crepe Flower Instructions

Step 1: Remove crepe paper from pack. Each pink stream measures 2 yards.
Cut a 2.5" diameter circle from cardboard. This will be the base.

Step 2: Fold the stream into half and halve them again. You should get 4 stripes each measuring 20 inches.

Step 3: Use running stitch along the entire length. Ruffles will be formed. Tie a knot at the end. Fluff the layers of ruffles along the edge by gently pulling the crepe paper away from each other.

Step 4:
Encircle the cardboard circle with the ruffled crepe. Use hot glue for a permanent bond.

Step 5: Attach a smaller flower at the centre.

There you go , a scallop double layered ruffle flower.
Read on HERE. If You are interested in knowing how i assembled the whole garland...

okie.... you might have noticed the frequency of bloggin' this week.
staying home and indoors and ...taking it easy. THANK YOU SO much for your kind thoughts and asking after us, wer're on the road to recovery ...

God Bless,

Cards Cards Cards and October Scarlet Lime

I'm late in posting my October's Scarlet Lime's Layouts here...
I was pretty excited to dig in my kit. U know, the yay-new-photographs! feeling. Absence of nice new photos - it has been a nice long while :)

Using pics from our recent trip to VC. Do check out what the other amazing Scarlet Lime Artists had churned out... We've a handful of New Girls :) !

This pics were taken below Shanon Waterfall on our way to Whistler Mountain... it was our first time seeing such a majestic sight. Glorious. My Almighty creator is Magnificent! Such is a time i am thankful for a TelePhoto lens. Thanks, hubs! :)
