It’s undeniably tempting to try something different for me as we approach 31st October! Although we do not use many decorations for Halloween, I decided to try my hand with a Black Bats themed home decor.
To set the mood, I pulled out black, grey, white pattern papers from Memorandum and Cedar Lane’s collection. Since I decided that I wanted to have a dominant black setting, I played around with similar tone pattern papers. It was a lot of fun putting these DIY handmade paper accordion flowers.
Using a black Ikea frame as a starting and focal point, I framed a black and white pattern paper (Memorandum: Desktop Pattern Paper) and layered vellum photo paper and accordion paper flowers.
Everything was pretty much quick to assemble with the help of the Silhouette. I churned out a Bat mask (Halloween Bat Mask) for added fun and die cut bats on black card stock (Bats and Moon). Since it was a Black Bat themed home decor, Heidi Swapp’s Bat Marquee was an excellent addition!
I love the idea of using old pictures and re-document them. There have been SO many pictures digitally stored on the computer. So sometimes when I wish to reminisce good ole' time, I'll pull out a specific time frame and just go back in time.
Just like this picture in this photo. Picture was taken 5 years ago and I miss those times where kids are much younger, much easier to pose and dress up! Great memories, Great fun!
Here, I used Pink Paislee's Cedar Lane's Pattern papers and embellishments. Cedar Lane is well know for its rich hues and great contrast color combination. True to that! I am ALSO in love with the flip side pattern paper in this collection! I paired the lighter color palette and dressed up my layout with a softer tone on a white background.
Do take time to look through old pictures and maybe create a layout with one of the photos! =)

It's ALWAYS Fantastic to create with a kit with lots of well-thought embellishments, papers... saves time and is a breeze to put quick pages together... Here, I created a few projects using October's Main kit from HERE.
There is a saying that Autumn is a second spring where every leaf that falls is a flower. It’s difficult to imagine the beauty Autumn brings when one (like me) lives in the Tropics. Pink Paislee’s Cedar Lane collection brought about life to this gorgeous season with warm tones, rich hues and beautiful colour combination.
I gathered around little pots and succulents and created a centre piece for our living room. Using die-cuts from Cedar Lane, I adhered floral die cuts and arrows onto a wooden stick. The brilliant floral motifs with deep and regal colors instantly lifted the entire centre piece. A pot of uninteresting green looked so much more colourful and captivating.
So, you really don’t need to experience the real Autumn in order to have a full taste of how this season looks like. Have fun with Cedar Lane and let your imagination run. - See more at:http://www.pinkpaislee.com/?p=47566
