WEBSTER PAGES - can't describe how in love I am with the new paper collection. Especially the BLACK element.
I think BLACK is my new WHITE. If u know what I mean ... I use white in everything. well.... practically...

Here is a scrap lift from Webster Pages April Guest Designer Nic Howard.

A little Birthday card for Brandin.

a layout using CHIC-SWEET-GRAPHIC patterns from Webster Pages. See the GOLD birthday sentiment. LOVE those stuff! I got some in really cool colors from the baking shop...

and finally, a canvas piece for a sweet lady, F.
one blog reader asked how each piece comes about...

Most of the time, I don't envision the final outcome of each piece.
The flow of ideas come from whatever color impression I had stored in my head. Like this piece below, i wanted to create with pink and yellow being the two dominant colors. From there, I tried to work around my elements, mediums.
Took out my different embellishments in similar shades and went to play!

I treat each piece of canvas as a platform for my trial and errors. Techniques and stuff that I wish to explore.
I explore in terms of depth and experimenting. I use paint, gesso, inks and pattern motifs.
Because my canvases are not particularly big, it is a great platform for me to layer without over crowding.
As random as it sounds, there is really no boundary I set when it comes to playing on small canvases.

This week had been an intense, nonetheless eventful week. Lots of things in the pipeline.
Home-wise and scrap-wise.
Will see how things come along; who knows i might spill some beans along the way :)
