Get going ... slowly...

this is one of the latest i did using Melissa France's .
this one is Xtra special.
that's my hand and my papa's.
Minutes before he slipped away.
Before he breathed his last.
it's a good memory.
Thank God for my handphone ! (it played Such an important instrumental part during his passing) .
i sewed a pocket behind the photo to journal our last moments...

still taking about my dad.
probably will still... talking about him makes it easier.
i was glad to have captured beautiful memories as his body lies in our church compound.
he had a beautiful sent-off.
i know he'll be so proud of us both...

Just a few days ago, i caught our 2 year old boy staring into space while listening to a cd.
It happened to be one of the cd we played during the funeral.
I asked him "What's up" ?
he (still staring into space) said:
" I-chad, i muis ah khong ... i kwai"

(need translation ? : He said " I sad, i miss ah khong (grandpa)... i cry" )
... didn't know to cry or what ... :]

--------------------------------------------------------
Here's one for Nikki Sivil's which i did awhile back ...

nothing fancy, something simple...

i had wanted to title it "Gone home ... " but nah...
thanks for dropping by ...

That first layout is one of the most beautiful and touching layouts I've come across so far. You are brave - if I were in your shoes, I would never be able to do a layout like that - I will probably be crying more than scrapping. I wanted to tell you to be strong, but I believe you ARE strong already. Stronger than me. Hugs.
