Beach Cottage Story Board - G45

with all the celebrating and feasting going on, it means having self control with the great great food. and i'm totally loosing it ...
and it also means taking a nice break from the www, scissors, paper and glue. boy, do i miss them already ...

last week, i took some time and played with some Graphic45 vintage graphics.
Graphic 45 is about vintage graphics isn't it :) used Maya Road tags which 'd been sitting around for awhile ...









played with mediums and kinda love how it turned out.
i misted the maya road tag book with 3 mist colors and love how rich (the colors)it looks in real life. those mist are sure addictive !
and did some touch up on the images with copic markers too ; the result ?! these little men and women looked airbrushed . Perfect ! :)

the blog will be lonely for the next few days.

In the mood for some Pink stuff ...& G45 DT Call

the past few days 'd been a blur with the Chinese New Year fast approaching .
i thought i might be game for some more handmade CNY decorations this year.
too ambitious. not much done... except for a few yellow red tissue pompoms.

i was more in the mood for some pink stuff
... if u notice i'm in the crepe paper pompom (or whatever u call it) craze.
these fluffy little things are just so cute ...

the kids love baking or rather messing around with My Playdough :)
here, i used white embossing powder on the beautiful damask image...

Artist Trading Cards and Scarlet Lime Layouts

these ATCs were made using Graphic 45's new Le Romantique collection.
this is probably my 2nd decent set of ATCs...i'm finding kick in creating these image collages...



and here are my layouts using Feb Scarlet Lime's kit. Check out Sasha who's our guest this month ! :) .


the tiny paper rosette was created using the same method i used for my muslin flower > here...





the last layout was titled Watchful...
it is actually a dark reminder to my little girl, to be careful, to open her eyes be street smart ...and be aware of her surroundings... she is coming 6. That was the age where i was almost kidnapped . i can still remember SO clearly what happened and it still sends shivers. it's a miracle nothing bad happened and i'm still around LOL ! thank God.

a new academic year has began for my eldest and this shall be her last year in Kindy.
bittersweet emotions cause she'll cross another milestone in 12 months .
yet, i can't wait for normalcy.of course we enjoyed the kids' company during the one hoilday break But i crave for my routine and some quiet time with our little boy ...

hope you had a terrific time with your loved ones during the year end holidays and hope your 2009 ended well !

this year is special.
Special in a non spectacular sense.
this is our first Christmas without dad. the void since this june remains empty and it probably will.
One page i did using the newest Rose Moka (background damask paper) and Graphic45's . it's about reminiscing great old days with him. see the picture? both of the pics had him carrying a then-scrawny me. Just like in his final breathe, he held on to me...so i leave u to imagine what an emotional crumble i was after finishing this page.



these christmas stuffs that i made, would have probably gone to adorn my dad's home if he was still around .

i probably will not blog till near Christmas, i'll leave u with some stuff i did the past few weeks. lots of Christmas themed projects. i think i've never done this many in any of the years i spend scrapbooking.

wierd thing.
i thought our methological weatherman forecasted rainy days until January...
i've been waiting for some wet weather and thunder storms.
nothing of that sorts the past week. but it's good enough to experience some wind.
o well ... they kept my hopes high. :)

did a simple layout ... these pictures where taken in the recent vacation at Bintan cludmed.
The kid's club were having a concert and OMY ! our little girl showed us what we didn't know.
We didn't know she LOVES the stage.... i was worried sick when they shoved her to the front row centre position and given 24 hours to learn the dance routine.
this mom was so silly. i assumed she would back out, get jittery ... such bitter sweet emotions. our girl has grown up *dab eyes*

i'm back again... so much has happened but to cut the long story short, it's now my turn to be ill :( not so fun at all. i wasn't able to attend MadeWithLove Birthday Bash last weekend - my sincerest apologies !...
