o damn .... but happy November!!

and so my start of the week didn't too nicely.

i just said good bye to someone forever for not turning up.
Irresponsiblity ranks low on my threshold meter. So my time was wasted waiting (read: swimming instructor) just like that for the 3rd time.
I'll gladly and readily accept if the reason is valid.
Would you budge if it is as lame as "I forgot" or worst, "I am at the airport now".
it happens to be my girl's swim-instructor; not mine :P

Then, i thought let's treat ourseleves to some indian food at the nearby coffeeshop.
It started well with smiles and greetings from the vendor UNTIL he looked at my kids and asked me "You from indonesia ah...?" (trust my instinct, he meant " are you a domestic maid?" ) and me, the dumb girl actually answered " urm no ... from singapore". omy, did i just answer him?! LOL !!
go ahead and have a laugh... what was i thinking and i must have looked the extreme today. i can't decide which is worse...

i think i am about to bite....

Move on...
Here's one GCD Studios' layout i created using one of my evergreen fave. :) i'm so boring i'm using butterflies again. but the butterflies from GCD Studio's Artsy Urban Collection are too pretty !

and another, a canvas chunk - used Tattered Angel's glimmer mist :) i'm in love with my glimmer misted seam binding...

and finally, so glad there's a new instructor over at Made With Love!!
Pooi 's new classes debut this month and do check it out HERE :) !

okay, i shall go chill.... you take care and will visit you soon :)

Happy Monday !!

it was my turn to blog at Simply Renee with an off the page item ... i came up with this hanging "thing" ...whatever you call it. :)

this was the original rack i took from my kitchen...inverted it and adorned with some leftover flowers, butterflies, large crystals blah blah blings with some hot glue...

I love how my gems and blingblings found a new home on this hanging wreath.
and this month at GCD Studios' , the Facebook girls are inspired by this collage :

and this inspired me to make a card using the strong manly colors .... just love blue and green... not forgetting blue plaits !

Using GCD Studios'

Hi all, i hope you are enjoying and the warmth spring brings. GCD Studio's May themed project will be based on these adorable little Russian nesting dolls. Cute, aren't they ?!

They are so easy to love and the artistry is in the painting of each doll, which can be extremely elaborate. A lot of patterns and colors are used on this layout to mimic the uniqueness of the nesting dolls.

Here, i attempted to make my own Matryoshka doll.
First, i traced and cut an oval shape (for the body) and 3 circles (for the head and hands). Piece them together to form the structure of the doll and accessorise with eyes and hearts.

Supplies :
GCD Studios Melody Ross Artsy URBAN 8 x8 " paper pad
GCD Studios Melody Ross Artsy URABN 12 x 12 " Paper Pad
GCD Studios Melody Ross Lydia Collection - Petit Floral
GCD Studios Melody Ross Homespun Chic Collection - Applique
GCD Studios Melody Ross Artsy Urban Die Cut Borders
GCD Studios Melody Ross Artsy Urban Layered Chipboard Flowers
